Halter Training
$850 a month
Show halter training, halter breaking, ground work and saddle prep.
board included high quality hay and daily pen cleaning also including minerals and salt.
training sessions 5 days a week.
*specialty grain will be at cost of owner.
Under Saddle Training
$1300 a month
specializing in colt starting, refreshers, restarts and bush training.
board included top quality hay minerals, salt, daily pen cleaning
training sessions 5 days a week including turn out and daily grooming.
grain will be provided too horses that require it

One Training Session
$80
Per training session at your facility must have appropriate space such as an arena or round pen.

About our training program
At Academy Equine, we specialize in colt starting and performance horse development, offering professional, individualized training programs designed to build confident, responsive, and well-rounded horses.
With over a decade of hands-on experience starting young horses and successfully working with challenging and problem horses, Head Trainer Cheyanne Stevens designs each program to suit the unique needs of both horse and owner. Training focuses on developing a light, willing horse that responds softly to aids, maintains a calm and collected demeanor, and performs smooth, balanced transitions. A strong emphasis is placed on correct foundation work, including riding from the seat and developing clear, consistent communication.
All under-saddle programs are supported by thorough groundwork and real-world exposure. Horses are introduced to varied environments and experiences—including being ponied through the bush—to ensure they are confident, adaptable, and capable beyond the arena. Cheyanne believes that even high-quality performance and show horses should be reliable, relaxed, and sensible in all settings.
Academy Equine has extensive experience working with rescue horses and those with behavioral or training challenges, achieving consistent, proven results through patient, correct, and compassionate training methods.
